Lee Whittle - Clinic Director & Lead Aesthetic Trainer

I’m a committed and experienced dentist and from qualifying  in 2001  have  over two decades of professional practice. I have  keen interests  in oral surgery, paediatric dentistry,  periodontal disease management and cosmetic dentistry.

Beyond dentistry  a passion for enhancing patient aesthetics has driven me to specialise extensively in non-surgical facial aesthetic treatments.

Early in my aesthetic career, which started in 2003,  I  trained with some of the most renowned practitioners in the world, a journey which has led me to become highly proficient in the use of botulinum toxin and dermal fillers.

Over the last 20 years, as well as  running two successful private aesthetic clinics  I previously worked  for a well know national Aesthetics company as a clinical lead and trainer.

During this time, helping others learn, as I learned,  seemed natural. What started as informal chats with colleagues about facial aesthetics turned into regular teaching sessions. Now we have a solid group of practitioners who share ideas and support each other.

Watching colleagues improve made me want to teach properly. I took courses in adult education, learning how to structure training in the most effective way.

That's what LW Aesthetic Training Academy does - teaches real skills that work in the real world.

Our courses focus on what matters – sound, evidence-based theory backed by practical skills that are tried and tested. Delegates learn  techniques step by step, building the confidence to treat patients safely and effectively.

Ultimately that’s what matters the most to me, inspiring confidence through education and training and I look forward to welcoming  new generations of practitioners as they take the next steps in their career

Susie Eddows - Aesthetic Trainer

My name is Susie, and I am both a dentist and a facial aesthetics practitioner. I qualified as a dentist in 2000 at the University of Leeds, and since then, I have had the pleasure of practicing across Leeds, Manchester, and Macclesfield.

Dentistry has been incredibly rewarding, especially with the variety of treatments I encounter, but what excites me most is the opportunity to enhance smiles through cosmetic dental techniques and treatments.

In 2017, I gained my medical aesthetic qualifications. For seven years now, ive combined dental work with facial aesthetics and its added an exciting new dimension to my practice.

Facial aesthetics allow me to offer my patients solutions beyond the dental chair, helping them not only feel good but look their best as well. I focus primarily on anti-ageing injections, particularly the use of toxins, which has become one of the most sought-after treatments in my practice. I find immense satisfaction in seeing the transformative effects these treatments have on my clients’ confidence and well-being.

Running my own facial aesthetics clinic has been a particularly fulfilling endeavour. It allows me  to work differently from the fast paced, sometimes restrictive nature of NHS practice. This gives me the flexibility  to take the time needed with each patient, building strong, lasting relationships. I’ve been fortunate to cultivate a loyal client base, and the trust they place in me is something I deeply value.

My interest in education and training has grown over recent years and joining The LW Aesthetics  Academy gives me the chance to share practical experiences with other practitioners

Outside of work  you’ll find me cheering on my boys at rugby, a freedom I really value.

Zoe Ashworth - Aesthetic Trainer

I qualified as a General Adult Nurse in 2018 and have since worked autonomously as a Community Staff Nurse and Health Visitor, blending my love for patient care with a strong focus on public health. In 2021, I advanced my expertise by studying to a Master’s level, which further strengthened my role in community healthcare. Throughout my career, I have been honoured to receive nominations for prestigious awards, including Inspirational Student of the Year and the Nursing Times Award for Adult Nurse of the Year.

Alongside my nursing career, I have developed a deep passion for aesthetics. Since qualifying in 2018, I have gained six years of experience in non-surgical cosmetic treatments, specialising in Botulinum toxins, dermal fillers, skin boosters, and polynucleotides. My approach is centred on enhancing natural beauty while improving skin health, always striving for results that are both subtle and transformative. I have dedicated myself to mastering facial anatomy and advanced aesthetic techniques, ensuring that every treatment I provide is tailored to each client’s unique features and aesthetic goals.

Beyond clinical practice, I am deeply committed to education and professional development. In 2023, I earned a teaching qualification to support others in their learning and career growth and am excited to be part of the LW aesthetics Academy.

Whether mentoring nursing students or training aspiring aesthetic practitioners, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping others build their confidence and expertise. My goal is to inspire and empower the next generation of professionals in both nursing and aesthetics, fostering a culture of lifelong learning and excellence.

Atif Shamas - Aesthetic Trainer

I am an experienced Dental Surgeon with over 20 years in the field, having earned my Bachelor of Dental Surgery at The University of Manchester.

Education and training have always been an important aspect of my career.

As an experienced dentist I have mentored numerous colleagues on all aspects of clinical work and had the privilege of lecturing at Local Dental Committees and the Manchester Medical Society on core medicolegal topics. Further to this I have gained qualifications in Adult Education and Training which has added additional skills in my roles as both mentor and trainer.

Having been trained and mentored myself at the LW Aesthetics Academy, I know first hand what an exceptional standard it is and the confidence it has given me as an aesthetic practitioner. I too take great pride in delivering high-quality training and feel honoured to be part of the LW Aesthetics Academy Team, where I can support delegates on their journey into aesthetics.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my young family, indulging in my passion for film and music, and planning my next family adventure whenever the travel bug strikes!

I find my roles incredibly rewarding, as I thrive on providing comprehensive business support, allowing my employer to focus on core activities.

As the Training Day Coordinator for the LW Aesthetics Training Academy, I am responsible for the smooth running of our training days, ensuring both delegates and models have a seamless experience. I handle all , logistics, support, manage schedules, and act as the first point of contact for any enquiries—before, during, and after training.
